Lake Time!

If dogs that come to stay are trustworthy about being off leash or do well on the 50' long line - they get to enjoy our dogs favorite pastime - playing at Jordan Lake!

Cassie loves the water and it was warm today for the first time in a long time, so we headed out there today to give her a chance to strut her stuff and have a ball...

It's such a dog's life!

Trip to Hickory

After Thanksgiving, Taylor and I packed up a few of the dogs and headed out to Hickory, NC for a few days.  We used that as a central point to head to the mountains and to do some work with the J's - Jett & Juniper.

The trip itself was pretty uneventful, but we got plenty of chances to let the dogs work offleash including at Bunker Hill Covered Bridge.  We worked on recall past squirrels, walking nicely past excited children (which for two 7 month old pups is not the easiest) and just enjoyed the trail.

Later that evening we headed out to Boone and Hanging Rock to catch a sunset and were well rewarded.  I think we will be revisiting Hickory soon!

Group Trip to Jordan Lake

Today we took part of our crew as well as Coco and Charlie out to the lake for a little R&R.  Everyone practices their WAIT with the van door open.

Good dogs!

Then we hit the beach and most of the dogs even swam - Bbbrrrrrrrrrr!

Field Trip - Archie & Bella at Tractor Supply

The dogs and I LOVE Tractor Supply.  It is one of the few places outside of a pet store that you can take the dogs to roadwork some of their training.

Our local TS is in Siler City.  Archie & Bella got dropped off last night around 6:30 and we jumped in the van to get some work in before they closed.

First they did a beautiful wait in the parking lot before getting out in the rain.

Then we headed inside for some Loose Leash, Wait, Stay, Recall & Polite People Greeting work.  We definitely have to work more on the people greeting as they LOVE people and are all over them.  Here is some shaky footage of them showing off!

They are with us for another week to polish up their skills.  Stay tuned for more progress...
